Grape Season 2014
Dear Valued Customers,
The great tradition and season of wine making is approaching, and this year looks to be very promising. After a recent return from California we are pleased to inform you about the exceptional weather conditions that have contributed to an excellent grape harvest. Despite the fact that California is facing it’s worst three year drought in over a hundred years, it’s effect on the grapes from where we buy our product is minimal. It is possible that many vineyards will receive less water than normal this year, but this can actually be beneficial for wine making. This is because the grapes will have smaller bunches and berries, more concentrated flavour, and enhanced wine quality. The harvest is a few weeks early and once again it will be important to place your orders early so we can secure the grapes you would like. Prices should be similar to last year, and the season will start on approximatley the 15th of September. The first arrival of grapes will be from the Central Valley. Sugar levels are projects to be between 23% and 25%. The high-end grapes from the Napa Valley and Amador regions such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc will begin to arrive between September 29th and October 5th. We have inspected Zinfandel, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay grapes first hand and the quality of these grapes are very high.
We would also like to announce that this year we will be introducing the Borrelli line of Premium California Grape Juices. These juices are made from 100% fresh grapes and will contain between 23% to 25% sugar and are of outstanding quality. They will be arriving around the 25th of September; make sure to come in early and place your orders. For those of you that would like to make a great wine with the help of our services, please inquire about the on premise wine making from our premium juices, or even right from our grapes (only offered at our on premise facility). As always we will be offering de-stemming and pressing services on premise with our world-class machinery. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to seeing you this year!

We are a proud sponsor of "Cooking with Cathy"! It is a 30 minute cable television program taped in Shelby Township, Michigan in the northern Detroit suburbs. The program centers on preparing traditional and more modern Italian cooking with some other Mediterranean cuisine mixed in. Hosted by suburban housewife, Cathy Lentine, she brings generations of family tradition in the kitchen and a wonderful personality as she welcomes her viewers into her home to learn how to prepare these popular dishes and learn the history of the meals and more efficient ways to cook them.
